Why do I try to do these things?

Why do I try to start a blog when I can't seem to keep doing anything else consistantly? Who knows?

Christmas season was hectic as usual, but we had a fun trip to Utah and some nice time at home too. As is typical, we spent a lot of the trip home discussing what we should be doing to our house. This time, in case we end up selling it this summer when Intel closes its door. So now, instead of leasurely blogging, I'm half way through painting my bedroom, Steve is working on putting a ceiling light in the little room of of our bedroom, we are seriously considering putting new carpet downstairs, and I have been looking at toilets and sinks to replace the yellow porcelain ones in the downstairs bathroom.

And here's a pic of Francesca and Cecelia, since I had a request. We forgot to take our traditional Christmas Eve family pic this year, so I still need to get a current pic of our family. When I do, I'll share.

Hi Rachel, thanks for posting this pic. Possibly you had another request, and I didn't want anyone to think that maybe I asked to see the youngest or the girl (sometimes my boys feel like that happens in our house) I just don't think I had ever seen a picture of the youngest and was curious.

She seems to look most like Levi to me of all of them, but of course you see her more and would have other opinions.

Cecelia seems not to have a look where she distinctively looks like any of the rest of them like Francesca does, at least from what I have seen of her. I don't know if that makes sense to you, but from this picture your youngest and Levi look a lot alike.

I am also glad that you don't use the first letter, it helps me not to feel bad because I am not doing to ever do that even if I tried.

I figure if someone wanted to obsess about us and hurt us the internet wouldn't help them ALL THAT much, and there are so many pics of families and kids now that everyone blogs that it is really kind of just being in the phonebook now.

But I am sure that lots of people have different opinions, and truth be told I haven't had the reason articulated and am only guessing.

One thing that I get confused about is when people's names start with I and I read it as the pronoun.

Oh well, cute pic. We are going to try to get a new informal fam picture the next time J and S come over (just needing someone to hold the camera) because it has been forEVER and we have Harry now and all and should get a COMPLETE one!

I know he is just a dog but the kids I swear are MUCH more excited about him than they would be about a newborn times 1000 at least, mainly cause newborns aren't fun for them at all when they first come--mom is less available, many more things they can't do, they have to be quieter, etc.

The boys are so excited about the dog they at least daily say 'This is the best thing ever, this was the best Christmas ever, thank you SO SO SO much, etc.' So I love him too, and everything, but it is hard to adequately communicate what a big deal it has been for them and celebrating with a family pic should be a good thing.

I'd love to see your boys too since who knows how long it is going to be since we are all together. It will probably have to be in Oregon with as well as I am doing traveling even small distances.

I agree, Francesca does look most like Levi to me, although I'm not sure exactly why when I actually look at pics of him at her age. I'll be interested to see what she looks like at a little older. Babys under 1 rarely have their permanent look, at least to my eyes. People in my ward always tell me how much Ches looks like Cecelia, but I don't really see it except for in the coloring (hair and eyes).

I'm definitely too lazy to use the first letters of people's names. I do okay, but Steph's E and L confuse me because of how you say the first's name, and Stacey's "I" confuses me sometimes and I have to read twice to tell who's doing something, but I usually manage. *waves to Steph and Stacey*

When I blog next I'll put up a pic of my boys, it's not that I don't like them, I do :) It's just that it is very hard to get them to not do stupid faces for the camera.

Man, I'm enbarrassed that I didn't proofread my last comment better. That things full of bad grammar, writing, punctuation, etc.

Oh well.

Me hates the lack of editing feature on comments.

See, more bad grammar, punctuation, spelling, etc.

Will I never learn?

I just like to keep you all on your toes and I like to make sure you're all REALLY reading my blog carefully :)
Cute, cute cute, girls. We miss them. Yesterday R picked up my cell phone and said "Mommy, we really need to call Auntie Rachel". It was totally out of the blue but so sweet.

Cool, your kids (well, one of them) want to talk to me! That IS sweet.

I've been having a hard time keep ing up on my blog lately too. I was really into it for the first couple of months. I think the Christmas season took it out of me for a bit. My ward callings have been eating up a bit of time too. Cece's hair is getting long!

Blame J, if it was up to me I would put full names on there.

I wish comments could be edited too, that is one thing that really bugs me.

What was his argument? Was it the Chester the Molester thing? You can make them not searchable if you are worried about weirdos. But there are a ton of famblogs out there and I am not sure I am going to lure anyone here.

CC reminds me a tad of E actually. A compliment of course! E is definitely a nice looking child.
